Vintage 1940's TRIFARI Ming Duck Brooch, Earrings Set, Pearl Belly, Rhinestone
For you today is a pretty hard to find Trifari Set. It is from the Ming Collection and is an Alfred Philippe Design.
The brooch is the Ming Duck with a pearl and emerald green rhinestone belly. The matching clip earrings also feature pearl centers with emerald green rhinestones.
The neck and tips of the wings, as well as the tops of the earrings are set in a silver plating with clear rhinestones and the rest of the brooch and earrings are designed in gold, no enameling. There is a some verdigris/green at the base of the one of the wings.
The photos make it look a lot worse than in person. All the imperfections seen in the photos are definitely magnified.
There are however some wear and scratches, one part of the pearl body of the duck has some of the nacre missing, not super noticeable. Overall this set is in pretty good vintage condition. Brooch measures 3 3/8" across by 2" and earrings are 5/8 in diameter. All pieces are marked Trifari with a crown above the T.
