Vintage 1960's Trifari Butterfly Pin & Earring Set Book Piece Simply beautiful signed Trifari black diamond rhinestone butterfly and matching butterfly clip earrings set have a textured gold tone metal setting. The body and wing tips of this butterfly are pave set with black diamond rhinestones with large multi faceted oval black diamond rhinestones set on all four wings. The design of this set is based on patent number 138,520 issued August 15,1944 to Alfred Philippe for Trifari but this set was reissued in the 60's. The pin is shown on page 301 of Julia Carroll's book Collecting Costume Jewelry 303. 1-7/8" wide x 2-1/2" long x 1/2 high and each earring measures approx.
