Joseff of Hollywood Brooch Pin Dress Clip Custom Made Rhinestone VTG 1930s
Large shield shaped dress clip decorated with beautiful bezel set unfoiled glass stones in medium blue and clear. The setting has applied florets on a foliage background, and is finished in gold-tone plating Joseff developed for use under Hollywood lighting. We showed this to our friends at Joseff of Hollywood and they said it was not a piece they were familiar with from their older retail lines but clearly made with Joseff components.
It was likely a custom made piece dating to the 1930s or'40s. Having not seen an example like this before, we feel it may be one of a kind. Marked Joseff Hollywood on the clip.3 inches long and 2.875 inches wide. Excellent condition for its age with only minor spots of discoloration where the clip was soldered on to the back.
