Coro 1940s Angel Fish Jelly Belly Pin Clips Brooch Pair Vintage Sterling Silver

Pair of angel fish jelly belly fur clips manufactured by Coro. Accents include a sapphire blue navette for the mouths and a red cabochon in each eye along with clear rhinestones scattered on the clear lucite bellies and fins. Marked only sterling on the pin clips and the bottom fins, but unmistakably a Coro design as shown in the attached patent drawing dating to 1944.

The Duette mechanism, which is missing from the set, would have been marked Coro. Each pin measures 1.75 inches long and about 1.375 inches wide. There is some minor plating wear, especially on the back.
