Please study my photos to see design and condition. I'm as honest as I can be, but my statements are my opinions and observations, none of the jewelry I sell has been authenticated, certified or vetted (unless specifically stated). Please decide when placing your order. Benedetto Panetta wrote his name in the history of jewelry. Born in Italy, he moved to America in 1901.
He first worked in small companies then met a fellow countryman and Benedetto became a designer at Trifari. After receiving invaluable experience, in 1945 Benedetto opened his own company "Panetta".
From the very beginning, Benedetto set a goal, to erase the line between precious jewelry and costume jewelry. According to Panetta, ornaments should look real and he succeeded in that beautifully. Panetta's jewelry looks very expensive and exquisite and almost all their products were handmade. In the middle of the 20th century, the products of the brand adorned celebrities and even the First Lady. After the death of Benedetto in 1960, his sons Amadeo and Armand continued the family business. However, Panetta Vintage Costume Jewelry ceased to exist in the late 1980s. Undoubtedly, nowadays, every jewelry lover dreams of becoming the owner of such a recognizable precious accessory.
