Vintage BOUCHER 1940s Lyre Bird on Branch Rhinestone Brooch Pin, RARE

You are looking at a rare 1940s MB Boucher. Gold plated metal and pave set rhinestones and pearls. This is a book piece, and a rare treasure to add to a collection. 1940s ultra rare MB (Marcel Boucher) BOUCHER huge Lyrebird on a branch brooch pin. It is one of the most desirable, sought after and collectible Marvel Boucher designs. Made entirey of pave set rhinestone crystals on a gold rhodium plated base, the gold wings with geometric line cut into them and a smooth gold back. A tiny emerald crystal for an eye.

Faux pearl cream berries in the birds beak. The bird sits on a gold branch with pave set crystal leaves and cream pearl berries. Extremely dimensional with breathtaking detail. Marked MB with a Phrygian helmet. This design was patented in 1948.

There is an earlier version made of enamel which was slightly smaller that was patented in 1941. Book reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 1 page 68.
