Vintage Rare Signed CROWN TRIFARI Pat Pend Poodle Dog Figural Brooch with Rhinestones & Faux Pearls. I believe, the metal is "Trifarium", a plating alloy developed by Trifari, as it can be cleaned the same way as sterling silver. The brooch measures approximately 1 3/4" x 1". As you can see from the patent (last photo), this brooch was designed by Alfred Philippe, who had been a jewelry designer for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, and designed pieces for Trifari from 1930 until the 1960's. CONDITION: The brooch has appropriate for its age signs of wear (scratches on pearls, some dull rhinestones). Please, enlarge and see pictures to determine the condition.
