Vintage 1940's Large Waving American Flag Brooch. Blue Enamel Canton home to 48 Clear Rhinestone "Stars". Red Enamel Stripes with Clear "White" Rhinestone Stripes. Rhodium Metal - Flag Pole, Finial and Rope.

Costume Jewelry Collectors International article November 2014 by Susan Klein Bagdade posted by Pamela Wiggins has a fascinating article about Ralph Singer Jewelry Company of Chicago, formerly known as Agnini & Singer (later with ORA line) and their relationship in creating the first jewelry for Eisenberg. Agnini & Singer ceased making jewelry for Eisenberg when Eisenberg formed a partnership with Fallon & Kappel sometime in the late 1930's with relationship dates stated as 1943 to 1972.
The current Ralph Singer Jewelry website currently shows a flag like the one I have listed for sale, but does not offer additional information as to whether or not it was made for Eisenberg. My hunch is that this flag brooch was indeed made by Agnini & Singer for Eisenberg as it bears the hallmarks of other early Eisenberg Patriotic Jewelry. Meaning heavy pot metal/rhodium type mix with thick vibrant enamel, etc. (see my listed Eisenberg Patriotic Bow Brooch as reference).
Not sure if this article was ever followed up with more information, but it is a fascinating read which will hopefully shed more light on Agnini & Singer's creation of the "original" Eisenberg adornments and jewelry.
