These SPARKLING & IMPRESSIVE pieces of CROWN TRIFARI jewelry are from the Jewels of India Collection created in the 1940's. Of interest is the fact that most people attribute the creation of these designs to Alfred Philippe.

However, he was the Creative Director for TRIFARI but he did not design the jewelry, rather he chose which designs would be put into production. This offering is for a crown with three (3) Cabochons : the two (2) side stones are Green with a hint of blue & the smaller top stone is Sapphire Blue. At the top of the crown sits a small Green Chaton ; at the bottom of the small Cabochon sit two (2) Ruby Chatons ; Down the center in descending graduated sizes sit three (3) Chatons in Sapphire Blue, Ruby red; and the smallest , Sapphire Blue , sits in the middle of a row of matching Blue Chatons surrounding the front of the Brooch beneath the Green Cabochons. Between the Green Cabochons and center are two (2) single Paved vertical rows of Clear Chatons Surrounding The bottom of the crown are Vibrant Ruby Red Baguettes.

The crown appears 3-D and the posterior rim of the bottom circlet of the crown is visible and contains a row of Clear Chatons. The Earrings consist of a single large Green with a touch of Blue Prong Set Blue Cabochon in a gold bezel and atop which sits a Prong Set Red Chaton. The elongated oval these stones create is accentuated by a sweeping Gold Curve.

PLEASE read description and review the pictures carefully for item details. The finish on the front of the Brooch is beautiful without wear or scratches except for some tiny scratches on the bottom lip under the red baguettes and about the top small green rhinestone. The Earrings also have a beautiful Gold Plated Sterling Silve r finish, except there is a small nick in the upper Left earring visible on photographs but not truly noticeable when being worn.

I believe it was from the manufacturing because it is plated and is associated with the paved tip of the earring. The back of the pieces show wear consistent with age. Note that there may be scratches and wear visible under magnification or in photos due to reflection which cannot be seen by the naked eye. All the PRONG SET Cabochons are present and in perfect condition with rich color and no nicks or scratches. The bezel &channel set Rhinestones (Clear, Red, blue & green/round and baguette) are also perfect and present except one small Blue stone fourth from the side of the pin clasp which is either faded or has been replaced (this if how it came to me). SIGNED TRIFARI WITH A CROWN.

The CROWN is marked 137542 & the earrings are also marked with the patent number but due to wear I cannot make it out. Measure 6/8 in height and ½ in width; and the. 1 1/4 height and width.
